Is the Nicole Dress Lularoe True to Size

The patterned leggings, the unicorns, the "outfits of the day," and more; the LuLaRoe line shows no signs of stopping its inventory anytime soon, despite their recent incident. It's where "fashion meets comfort" and provides women everywhere with an opportunity for a side or full-time income. If you're familiar with their merchandise, you most likely know all of this. You are also likely familiar with their sizing, primarily one-size (OS) and tall-and-curvy (TC) for the leggings. But, how does LuLaRoe sizing compare to others? (And is it cheaper?)

LuLaRoe Quality

LuLaRoe became popular for their leggings; not just because of the unique designs but also the material. There is no denying the comfort of LuLaRoe clothes, especially since each piece is typically stretchy. Although comfortable, there are many complaints regarding their quality, as they tend to tear when worn. In fact, LuLaRoe faced criticisms and lawsuits earlier this year for sweeping complaints of the holes and rips that would occur after just a few wears of their leggings.

While the company has grown quickly over the last couple years since launching and is still fairly new, customer expectations continue to rise. Fortunately for disgruntled LuLaRoe fans, the company claimed as soon as February that it is working diligently to fix the issue, according to this Business Insider article.

LuLaRoe Sizing

LuLaRoe maintains basic sizes, which permits some women to wear different sizes in different styles. For example, you may wear a TC legging but a small Carly (one of their shirt styles). Here are the sizes broken down by style as provided from the ladies of LuLaDolls.com:

Is It Cheaper?

The average price for LuLaRoe clothes run at around $55. Their goal, it seems, is to make popular styles affordable for women of all sizes; however, there are actually a few comparable clothing lines that are cheaper alternatives to the LuLaRoe brand. Many of these alternatives, like the Viv collection, which can be found on Amazon, and Agnes and Dora, another direct sales company for clothes, do carry similar styles and sizing options.

Overall, the company has done a great job quickly building their following and sales in such a short amount of time. The issue remains within their quality control. The LuLaRoe sizing does simplify the process of choosing sizes as women everywhere can relate to what is a size four from one brand might be more like a size six from another. Sizing in this way seem to takes away that worry. This is not to say, though, that you should not still try on the different styles to ensure the right fit.

Is It Worth It?

Considering the recent rising complaints, it is hard to say whether or not LuLaRoe is worth the costs, as their prices range from $25 (the price of their leggings) to $70 (the cost of their cardigan titled "Sarah"). On the other hand, these complaints are more focused around the leggings rather than their other articles of clothing. If you love the LuLaRoe line, it may be worth purchasing your leggings elsewhere while continuing to buy the other styles from consultants.
